Introduction
By accessing or using the ExoClean Perth website or accepting a quotation from us, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions outlined below. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use our website or services.
Access to Services
We aim to deliver reliable cleaning services throughout the year. However, access to our website or scheduling of services may occasionally be disrupted due to maintenance, adverse weather, or operational changes. We reserve the right to alter or withdraw services at any time without notice.
Payment Terms
All payments are due within 7 days of the service being carried out unless agreed otherwise in writing. Accepted payment methods include GoCardless direct debit, Stripe, bank transfer, and cash.
If payment is not received within 30 days, we may suspend your cleaning services. If the balance remains unpaid after 90 days, we reserve the right to engage a debt collection agency. Any associated fees, including legal or court costs, will become the client’s responsibility.
Adverse Weather Conditions
Our pure water system allows us to clean effectively in most weather conditions, including light rain and low temperatures. Therefore, weather is not generally accepted as a reason for postponement.
In cases of high rain, winds or snow, we may reschedule services for safety reasons. Refusing our team on the day of cleaning without prior notice may incur a 50% charge to cover lost time and operational costs.
Property Access
Clients are responsible for ensuring clear access to all areas that require cleaning. If we cannot access certain sections (e.g. rear garden) due to locked gates or obstructions, we will clean what is safely reachable and charge accordingly.
Our staff do not climb fences, enter through living areas, or perform any actions deemed unsafe. If your property has no rear access except through your home, we offer a “front windows only” option.
If we are permitted to unlock side gates to gain access, please inform us. Otherwise, we will assume access must be available externally.
Obstructions and Safety
We do not move items such as garden furniture, plant pots, or any other obstacles. Please ensure areas to be cleaned are clear. If access is blocked, that area may be skipped and still charged.
Due to insurance restrictions, we cannot pull water-fed hose systems through the main interior of your home — garages are acceptable. We also do not use ladders for routine window cleaning.
Cleaning Schedule and Frequency
Unless a “one-off clean” is clearly requested, all bookings are considered part of a recurring cleaning schedule (typically every 4 or 8 weeks). We aim to maintain consistent service intervals, but exact dates may vary due to holidays, weather, or staffing.
We reserve the right to adjust routes and cleaning dates at year-end to optimize efficiency.
Quality Assurance & Re-Clean Guarantee
We offer a 24-hour satisfaction guarantee. If you are not satisfied with our work, please contact us within 24 hours and we will return to re-clean the affected areas free of charge.
If, upon re-cleaning, we determine the issue lies inside the glass (e.g., failed seals, internal condensation) or is unrelated to our service, a £30 call-out charge may apply.
Surface Wear and Potential Damage
We take great care when cleaning, but some surfaces and materials may be fragile or deteriorated:
- Oxidised UPVC frames may show light marks after cleaning. This is due to oxidation being lifted during brushing, not scratches.
- Scratched glass: Our brushes are soft-bristled and free from metal components. They are specifically designed not to scratch glass. Any scratches observed are likely due to pre-existing conditions or wind-blown debris.
- Decorative bars or trims that detach during cleaning are often secured with failing adhesive. We are not liable for items that detach if improperly fixed to glass or frames.
- We do not accept liability for damage due to faulty installations, loose fittings, open vents, flaking paint, or rotting frames.
Missed Appointments & Cancellations
If you wish to cancel or skip a scheduled clean, we require at least 48 hours’ notice via phone or email. Cancellations made within less than 48 hours may be charged in full.
Cancellation of a direct debit via GoCardless does not automatically cancel your service. Please contact us directly to stop recurring cleans.
We offer an SMS notification service the day before your clean. These are automated reminders. Cancellations sent after the SMS notification may not be processed in time.
Right to Refuse
ExoClean Perth reserves the right to decline or cancel work at any stage — including after pre-payment — if we deem it unsafe, inappropriate, or unfeasible. Any advance payments made will be refunded in such cases.
Liability
We are fully insured and aim to work with care. However, we are not responsible for damage arising from pre-existing issues at your property or for areas deemed unsafe to clean. Clients are responsible for securing valuables and ensuring we are informed of any fragile surfaces or fittings.
Website Use
You agree not to post or transmit any illegal, harmful, or abusive content through our website. We may remove any content violating these standards.

We may contact you by email to inform you of service updates or special offers. All data is handled according to our Privacy & Cookie Policy, which we encourage you to review.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by Scottish law. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
